 TO WORK WITH CLIMATE

Created in 2018, Youth Climate Leaders (YCL) is an NGO whose mission is to build opportunities for youth to lead solutions to the climate crisis. We are an ecosystem that offers solutions to promote the employability of young professionals in the area of ​​climate and sustainability, acting through 3 pillars: education, networked climate action and opportunities. With offices in Brazil and Portugal, we aim to train 100,000 young people as part of a global and Portuguese-speaking network.

 

For us, the climate crisis and structural unemployment are the two biggest threats to the future of young people. This is because, even though they represent the majority of the global population, young people continue to face barriers to accessing job opportunities and economic security, while dealing with an uncertain future due to the impact of the climate crisis on their lives.

 

To reverse this scenario, we promote the professional insertion of young people in the new economy through climate education and building bridges with organizations that already work in the sector, thus generating greater knowledge and information on the subject. We offer climate training courses and access to a network rich in opportunities to engage in the transition to a more just and carbon neutral society.
